Camelford Walkers

About us:
We're a group of individuals who choose to walk together, most Thursday afternoons, in most weather conditions, so come prepared. We walk for pleasure, for health, and for friendship. We meet at Camelford's community hub, the Old Bank, or in the Churchfield Car Park for an away walk, for a 13.30 start. Formed in the autumn of 2016 by a handful of enthusiasts, we now have over 50 members. Dogs are allowed if well-behaved. We charge £1 for the walk, £1 for a hot drink and cake back at the Old Bank.

Our walks:
Most walks are between 2 and 4 miles, between one and three hours, but there are always shorter and/or easier options for those unable to manage stiles, steep inclines or long distance (we are proud to have people in their 80s and 90s regularly walking with us). We alternate walks from the Old Bank in the heart of Camelford, using local footpaths and lanes, with walks further way on the moors or coastal path, or Camel Trail.

Contact Helen Wood: 01840 212161 or by e-mail through the Old Bank; we welcome new members.
