Saffron Walden and District Footpaths Association

The Saffron Walden and District Footpaths Association was formed in 1963 to encourage the use of footpaths in the area around Saffron Walden - approximately from Balsham to Stansted north and south, and from the Bumpsteads to Barley east and west. Membership is £5 per household per year. Newcomers and visitors are welcome on all our walks.

All our walks are approximately five miles long. (unless otherwise stated)

Newcomers and visitors are welcome on all our walks. You will need to be fit enough to walk 5 to 6 miles at a moderate pace. The ground can be uneven so suitable footwear is essential as is suitable clothing for the prevailing weather conditions on the day of the walk.

We do allow walkers to bring well behaved dogs with them but they must be kept on a lead when appropriate or when the leader requires it.
